OK, I’m a touch confused: what does the first “pundit” mean by “ruining it for the rest of us?” No one else will be able to go on a killing spree because it’s been done and now it’s passe? Or does he mean ruining mental illness for the rest of us? Because that would be a shame: it’s such a great lifestyle, and the mentally ill are generally so well regarded.

As for the “mentally ill retarded people” who are spoiling things for the rest of us, I believe this comment was intended to establish a distinction between them and the “mentally healthy retarded people”, who are - as well all know - good folk, one and all.
Althena, Mike’s comment is perplexing me too. Obviously I agree that it is irritating and irksome when someone massacres innocent people.
