i do not beleive any child should drink under the age of 18 as i beleive that it only makes them beleive that it cant hurt them when it can as they are not in the righe mind when they have had alchohol all kinds of things can happen also if the parents give it to them they beleive its ok when the pareants should be protecting them i would never alow my children to drink under 18

sonia freeman, cardiff

Sonia has discovered that the only way to keep the booze away from the kids is to cane it all before they get home from school.

It’s like I can see into your brain and it’s full of little woollen men playing tennis.

Another submission, this time from Nicky. Keep ‘em coming. I swear, if I have to keep reading it all myself, I’ll end up on the news.

From reading the comments on here, it is my humble opinion that if you were to describe a Nazi, a non-smoker would fit the description perfectly. I have never seen such hysterical drivel and sheer hatred for a group of people. If directed against dark skinned people it would be called racism, Uncle Adolf embraced this kind of hysteria against Jews, i believe they were bad for your health too. I sincerly hope this HYS is isolated and isnt across the board because if it is, then its worrying.

Jabba DeHutt

Very worrying. It strikes me again and again as I trawl through the hateful drivel on HYS and I find myself thinking “I wish this bunch of racist baboons weren’t so down on smokers”.

The issue is, if Harry goes to Iraq will the whole Royal Family become a target of muslim fanatics? Second, if he goes and gets killed will the whole muslim community in Britain become a target for revenge? Third would the death of Harry in Iraq precipitate the assasination of Blair by lovers of the Monarchy. Fourth, would the lack of massive military retaliation cause massive civil unrest in Britain? Blair’s, it’s not my call, is simply not believable; Blairs neck is on the block.

alan byrom, tagish canada

Whilst I commend your insightful analysis, I don’t think you’ve considered all the alternatives. If Harry was killed in Iraq, the monarchists might all go over there and destroy the insurgency in an act of revenge. But then the insurgents’ friends might come back over here and bomb the Archbishop of Canterbury. This would inevitably lead to the Conference of Anglican Provinces in Africa, upset that the British government didn’t protect the Archbishop, staging an invasion of Wales where they would…

Sorry Alan, I got bored halfway through taking the piss out of you.

If the Prince feels it is His Dutie to preforme as a combat soldier…who are we to agree nore disagree.
It is His choise.
I for one comend Him for his courage.

Mark Walker, Calgary Alberta Canada

Hi Mark. You’re going to find this a bit much to take in all at once…. but I’m afraid you’ve been asleep for 200 years.

A couple of submissions courtesy of Hektor who’s been hanging with the Speak Your Brane crew as they come to terms with the death of Boris Yeltsin. Poor bugger.

Thanks for help ending the Soviet threat. Good luck!

Walt K, Corona, California, United States

I’m sure he will be lucky but we should spare a thought for all those less fortunate corpses.

Many of us, here in America, saw him as a forward thinker and an honorable man…He will be missed…I’m certain that if Mr. Reagan was still alive, he’d be crushed that his friend and ours, has passed…Our countries have stood together, in the past, and this American hopes we
will again, and for the long haul…After all, my Aunt Hilda looks much like your Aunt Helga….We are One…
Your American Brother,
Rodney

Rodney, Cleveland

Poor Reagan. I’m sure he would be crushed. Luckily he was spared the pain by dying. And he had no clue what was happening even when he was alive. Alzheimers is probably something of a blessing when you have so much blood on your hands.

Having a bit of a melancholy Thursday afternoon. Perhaps I should have just left Hektor’s comment:-

“I am sure Rodney’s probably on death row, so it’s quite safe to laugh at him”

The prince should goto Iran.
He is part of the royal family and he must represent his country.
The Queen as princes Elisabeth was in the WVS during the war.
And I believe King George the fifth was in the Navy and went on board a war ship in the second world war.
It would be wrong for our country to not let the prince go

Anthony Rowland, Sheffield

Good idea. Send him to Iran. I hear the skiing’s pretty good.

Werthers Original Imperialists26 Apr 2007 01:59 pm

Being Royal IS to be a role model of the old fashioned sort. Harry is living up to that with the greatest of commitment. He is being the sort of Englishman that our sorry Government has no concept of.

The Kudos to the Royal Family if he died in action would be incalculable. The kudos to this sorry old UK would be even more. Very Shakespearian too! God for Harry and England

No we don’t want him captured in the sort of silliness we saw in Iran. But go he should and must, and good luck to him

Josephine Bennington, Gravesend

Amen. Let us pray that he is slaughtered with honour.

Slow Readers and Werthers Original Imperialists26 Apr 2007 01:56 pm

He should go, the roayal family got the priviledge of leading the country by organizing the millitary and leading it, if they lost, the winner took the throne or the next in line fought for it. National service should be brought back too, no ecxemptions.
I was in the army from 1963 - 1972.

KEITH MOSELEY

Sound the horn and raise the standard. Ready His Majesty’s steed.

1963-1972 eh? That’s quite a stint. Did you get any badges?
