Permanently Bewildered and Unfocused Rage08 Aug 2007 05:21 pm

When HYS posed the complex and confusing question of whether the government have a duty to help Iraqis who have worked with British Forces to settle in the UK, Joe thought long and hard. Then, after a couple of days recuperating in front of “Deal or No Deal” he wrote:

Interpreters ?
No they should not be given asylum! If you want to live here you should have the decency to learn our language!
We should have no need for interpreters, or at least not a lot of interpreters.

That makes no sense, or at least not a lot of sense.

They should never have helped the British troups. If we wanted to invade Iraq, we should have had the decency to learn their language. Or something. I’m not sure.

I can’t believe we hired interpreters who don’t speak English… Rookie mistake.

I’ve read from the first page to here. This is the first HYS that really made me truly laugh.
