I am from Africa and I was 26 when I moved to USA. Up until I moved to USA, I have never seen homo people in my life before. And I believe, Ugandan government did the right thing for not defending homosexuals. Is Africa Homophobic? I would say no! I would rather say, Africa is Homo free continent and I hope it will remain the same.abayneh, rochester
True enough. It’s very hard to be homophobic when there aren’t any homos.
Bless him, you could couldnt make it up!
i mean ‘you couldnt make it up!’
It’s lucky they are 100% homo free, keeps that nasty AIDS in check.
I dunno, if 9/11 taught us anything it’s that we can live in constant pathological fear of things that aren’t really there. I’ve never met an Islamo, for one thing.
“Up until I moved to USA, I have never seen homo people in my life before.”
In places like Uganada, homos are the equivalent of the Loch Ness Monster in Scotherland, much talked about, but very rarely seen. Indeed, the annual Kampala Homo Hunt remains one of the social events of the year, attracting bummer spotters from far and wide hoping to see the lesser spotted arse bandit.
I suspect he is right in saying there are no ‘homos’ in uganda, as they have probably all migrated elsewhere. perhaps his comment is really an unconscious lament on the lack of visible gay people in uganda and having to go all the way across the world to find them.
Nah, not true Edvard. Sure it’s underground, but Kampala has a gay scene, same as anywhere else.
“Kampala has a gay scene”
Campala?
Well, if he likes Africa so much, why doesn’t he…
My mate shagged that Idi Amin in the back of a taxi once, if that’s any help.
And he’s a bloke.
“Africa is Homo free continent”
Yes Abayneh, yes it is. If you ignore all those folks who actually are homosexual. And some of the ones who aren’t, but want to be.
