On which of the six shortlisted writers will win the 2007 Booker Prize. In case you haven’t been following events I can confirm that, shockingly, J.K. Rowling did not make the shortlist. This doesn’t stop Atom John from sharing his depressingly mundane thoughts about Harry Potter.

Anyone who suggests the Harry Potter person - think again.
The prize is not only for a good story - but for the construction, grammar and use of language.

The Potter books manage a good story - and lack all else.
Atom John, Derby, United Kingdom

I expect he’s already got the other opinions in the set:

  • Big Brother - a big waste of time
  • Glastonbury Festival - getting a bit too commercial these days
  • The BBC - dumbing down
  • Politicians - you can’t trust them

Faced with the infinite banquet of human experience, John opts for a Tesco Value Ready Meal (80% mechanically recovered enthusiasm).

The Booker Prize for grammar? Is that the kids edition or something? All the authors have to stand up and tell the judges which cases take “whom” in English and then give an example of the subjunctive mood.

    Garn, what a cuntbucket.
