Another report today says that a significant portion of people on sickness benefit have been there for over 5 years. There is a pool of people who could retain for IT.

Brilliant idea. You are living proof that just about any cunt can type to some extent.
But why limit it to dull stuff like IT? Flying a modern, computer-controlled passenger jet is pretty much a matter of pressing a few buttons, moving the stick around a bit, and doing what the computer says. A bit of retraining could turn today’s sick into tomorrow’s aviators!

Well I cannot use a keyboard except one finger at a time. (not even 2 fingers). But then I am 73 years old and retired.
When did everyone start being able to type. It used to be quite a restricted art.

The joke is that IT is about a bit more than “typing stuff”. You have to type exactly the right stuff. Same as being a surgeon isn’t just about “cutting holes in people”. You have to cut exactly the right holes.
