Oh dear. And there was me thinking that Hallowe’en had its roots in Samhain and the like, a time when the beloved dead could, should they wish, get briefly in touch with and comfort their loved ones. Really evil stuff.

The most evil thing about Hallowe’en is the little bastards effectively demanding money with menaces. Grrrr. Fetch me my Daily Mail, I feel my blood beginning to bubble.
