I went to A&E a couple of weeks ago as a split contact lense had become lodged somewhere (I could feel it). After examination was told there was nothing there. 5 days later, after using my contacts when I went cycling, I could still feel something.

That night I removed my lense and along with that – the half a lens that was apparently not there! The whole point of going was they had the specialist equipment – I can’t see into my own eyes easily. It could have been a more serious injury…

Why are you poking fun at the cynical old gits comment? he was making a serious point about incompetence in the nhs. How would you like it if you got something stuck in your eye and some prat just laughed at you and made jokes about suppositories?

I expect I’d be very very sorry. I’d get a taste of my own medicine, that’s for sure. I expect that I’d also take a long, hard look at myself with my one good eye.

This has really made me think.

Unless, of course, you had a suppository stuck in your eye. Then I think you’re fair game.

You can’t put it in ‘God’s Special Place’ until marriage, but we’re all up for a bit of ass-to-mouth action.
