The armed forces are currently smaller than they have been for several hundered years.

The armed forces overseas commitments are currently larger than they have been for many years.

    Well if we are only employing midgets and dwarves in our armed services these days of course they are going to be overstretched.

    They would have to stand on each other just to see out of the tanks.
