Tsk. Think I had better explain myself for fear of being ostracised.

1. I genuinely am half Welsh, so the jibe was at the expense of my potty deceased grandfather (he won’t mind, you know).
2. I was trying to point out precisely how little any of the comments had in relation to the HYS topic of Zimbabwe.
3. I fucking hate the Mail. Almost no other daily national irritates me on the same level.
4. Everyone knows that the Welsh are the only minority group it is acceptable to abuse openly…
5. The Rhodesia reference was a deliberate insertion to make the post sound even more pompous and ignorant so that it was obvious none of it was to be taken seriously.

I thought you lot would have seen thru all of that!

What makes me really annoyed is that in having to defend my self, I now sound like a fully fledged HYSer.

(Incidentally, point 4 isn’t serious, in case it attracts yet more ‘asshole’ comments.)

Amazing, the progress in technology.

A few years back an online translator would have turned the original text in to absolute garbage. Reading the translation I could almost hear the voice of my Grandad who lived all his life in Newport.

Of course he was completely insane in the years before he died, but he spoke just like that.

Good times.

Nothing to do with Rhodesia either.
