I found this one in the debate about Heathrow Terminal 5.

Can we look any worse than we already do?

We are a dumping ground for the world where no one ever accepts responsibility for their own actions and criminals are treated better than war heroes and pensioners that have fought paid for and built this once great country.

We look like numbskulls because we are not allowed to be patriotic or religious for fear of upsetting the migrants we welcome into our land!

I was impressed that anyone managed to scrape together the calories required to have an opinion about Terminal 5. Then I read your comment and realised that you didn’t. Here’s an idea: if you want to stop repeating yourself, why not write your one and only thought down and then wear it on your face? Print this out and cut some eyeholes in it:

Louis's Thought

I’m sensing merchandise potential from that picture.

T shirts and novelty mugs at least.

“Louis”? Isn’t that a FRENCH name? Go home, immigrant frog!

Is that… that’s not the same Louis Cannell that wrote Anice in Wonderland, is it?

Somebody should point out to Louis that all those “war heroes and pensioners that have fought paid for and built this once great country” didn’t do a very good job if it’s as crap as he says it is.

Unless they specifically set out to build a “once great country”, rather than aiming slightly higher for a “great country”, in which case - job done!

The pensioners and heros did build a ‘once great country’ smart arse - then you lot came along.
If you think bow is so wonderful - then better die soon - as now gets worse.

Dear John - rock solid argument there, but since the pensioners and war heroes were the ones that raised “us lot”, it doesn’t exactly let them off the hook.

How did you know that I live in Bow, though? Mysteries abound.

That t-shirt thing’s a good idea. Though the spelling’s too good and “muslims” needs an apostrophe…

“no one ever accepts responsibility for their own actions”

Too true, they just blame things on the easily-upset migrants we welcome into our land.

i upset a migrant the other day and i had to make a real effort. he had a low centre of gravity and - being polish - a heavy bag containing plumbing tools. there may have been jobs in there that he had stolen from honest british tradesmen but as a metaphor, i don’t think they made it perceptibly harder to upset him.

You forgot the word ‘immigrants’ in his Thought! ;-)

You know, if only they’d built a fifth terminal at Heathrow as well, you and louis Cannell wouldn’t look so confused.
