Judge John Appleton is clearly a fine man and not at all inclined, statistically, to find in favour of the police, in the face of the evidence. After all, why would he? Any suggestion that he is in any way crooked is obviously a complete nonsense and those who are spreading these malicious untruths had jolly well better pack it in. Or else.

I actually agree that there are some people whose insane screaming rantings whenever the subject of child molestation ever comes up anywhere at all is an attempt to drown out hideous private desires. But then, I’m one of those perverts who thinks such subjects should be dealt with in a calm manner because the world does not really need more screaming hysteria. In some places, that’d get you condemned for a Chester. Even though I think kids are ghastly.

Does hiding hidden desires make them even more hidden, or does hiding hidden desires qualify as a double negative and therfore mean they’re out in the open?
