That sounds a bit like a knee-jerk reaction. Could we not put them into quarantine until we’re certain they’ve fled grinding poverty under authoritarian regimes is for reasons other than the opportunity to molest children?

And of course other options exist when we’re importing too much of a certain commodity. Perhaps we could introduce tariffs on child sex offenders, or maybe an annual limit?

On second thoughts, China would probably ignore the cap and send over too many, leading to an EU nonce war.
