I find all these unusually tall people to be very worrying, and I reckon that the fact that they don’t get the kind of casual abuse that the short get when being nasty about brown people and homosexuals is political correctness GONE MAD!1!!!111!!

So a remake of a tacky 70′s sci-fi show featuring Catherine Tate and an extra-terrestrial time-traveller fighting an assortment of unconvincing home-made robot aliens…

…will be replaced no doubt with “B” List celebrity doing something badly drivel!

It’s a disgrace.

Steve’s world must be fun. In it, all actors live in a huge dungeon under TV Centre and are only allowed out for the making of programmes. At all other times they’re chained to the walls. Somehow, David Tennant has managed to slip his chains and escape, and will spend the next year daringly evading his captors in Stratford upon Avon, occasionally being caught and forced to star in a 90-minute programme before daringly evading them again (possibly in the TARDIS; Steve’s logic is a bit hazy here).

This, I think, is a far more exciting reality than the one in which the BBC doesn’t own every aspect of an actor’s life and they’re free to negotiate contracts with other productions.

I found my favourite comment, a man who believes there should be some kind of Doctor Who gulag:

“There should be an announcement that the BBC will be producing an entire series next year of Dr Who and Torchwood rather than a few one offs.

These are without a doubt the BBC’s flagship drama series at the moment and to cancel them for next year on the spurious basis that one of the performers wants to do Shakespeare is rediculous.

These shows are very popular , funded by the licence payer (US) and will be replaced no doubt with more “B” List celebrity doing something badly drivel!
