I am 27 and from the Midlands. I am going to Barbados for 2 weeks in September, mainly to attend a friend’s wedding, but obviously will make a holiday of it while I’m there. I work damn hard for the rest of the year and feel I am entirely entitled to my 2 weeks of absolute paradise…

From BBC NEWS Today “Hurricane Ike, a ferocious Category Four storm, barreled over the Carribean archipelago with winds of up to 135mph (215kmph). Forcecasters say it could dump up to 12 inches (30cm) of rain as it powers towards Cuba and the Bahamas, passing just north of Haiti, over the next day.

THAT annual “showcase of Caribbean culture”, the Notting Hill Carnival, has again this year ended in public disorder, violence and bloody street battles between police and black gangs. Some 11,000 police were deployed at the event, costing taxpayers £6million. At least 488 arrests were made for various offences, this figure being subject to upward final revision.

Police were attacked with a variety of weapons, including dogs. A policewoman was carried away unconscious. Police reserves were called, and armoured riot police repeatedly charged the mob. Eyewitnesses describe “full scale battles”.

One wonders how long this can continue. Tolerance is reputedly a British virtue, but what are its limits?

Should this event not now be repatriated to its place of ethnic origin, where its inhabitants may, in turn, suffer the inconvenience, cost, and damage to property which have plagued the unfortunate citizens of London for so many years?

Kelvin?!? When oh when will you internationalists realise that 99% of all the Africans in the Carribean are the descendants of a British sponsored cultural exchange program and the truth about the black slave trade is
a) It is a myth propagated by self-hating lefties
b) All we did was END slavery (that didn’t exist in the first place anyway) in a beautiful selfless noble act of English heroism.
3) Most of the slavery was Arab-on-white slavery, Arab-on-black slavery and Black-on-Black slavery.

I feel I’m on the verge of a related episode – wherever I go now I’ll have the dark, repellent thought: I wonder whether Joy Pattinson has been here? Whether she’s driven down this road. Of course we Scots were miserable during Joy’s visit to our country. However, we did have a massive party as soon as the old splitarse headed back over the border (and, naturally, we got the English taxpayers to pick-up the bar bill). Result!
