Talk about political correctness and dumbing down-we just had on Canadian TV a Brit production of Oliver Twist with a black “Nancy”(imagine the outcry if we’d had a black Bill Sikes -an unsympathetic character)-we also had a character say”up yours”-not a saying in the 19th century.We turned it off -what a pile of c**p.

I love how this Canadian bore has hijacked a discussion about Al Jolson to tell people about what s/he’s been watching on the telly lately. Fascinating! What time of year was it? What jumper were you wearing?
