Actually, I’m with Kevin on this one. I was taught GCSE science by a man whose degree was in PE. Apparently it was enough that he had a degree; it didn’t matter that he had no fucking clue about physics. He was shit.

I’m also with you. My high school life was blighted by ex-PE teachers. Approximately half the staff had degrees in PE and taught whatever they had fluked A-levels in.

The geography department boasted a total of two D’s and a C at A-level as their geography qualifications. In depth knowledgeable teaching of geography it wasn’t!

Ban PE teachers is my view, or at least make them get some level of qualification that is higher than the level at which they teach.

For me, it’s the way David Irving looks a bit like Josef Fritzl.
