The closest comparision for Switzerland is Dubai, where churches are allowed but may not build towers or ring bells.
But this cannot be mentioned since Dubai are official “good arabs”.

Saudi Arabia doesn’t allow churches at all, but they (also good arabs) are a fiefdom where the entire country is the personal possesion of a single western-backed family.

Iran, does allow religous a degree of freedom, as the 25,000 Jewish Iranians often confirm.

To really see the true idiocy of the Swiss ban one has to live in a catholic canton and be exposed for around two hours a day to their cacophonous belling. I live 200 metres from a catholic church and reckon quasimodo got a result.
