Thanks to Patrick for the only HYS post in history willing to give a tea-leaf the benefit of the doubt:

How is this different to people removing metal plaques from war memorials or lead off church roofs? It may not be sold as a sign, but with metal prices as high as they are it could already be melted down and reused. As a sign it may have sentimental meaning, but it could just be an act of theft, not “a declaration of war” against the Jewish state.

Phil, London, UK

While we’re at it, why are we so sure that Auschwitz was a death camp? Maybe it was just a very poorly-run Butlins with a central heating system that wasn’t CORGI-approved. But you could get away with that before Health And Safety went mad with political correctness.

In the interest of balance, Sarah has found someone who’s perfectly happy to leap to conclusions about the thieves:

Disgusting ,and it seems with all the immigrants being let into Europe from elsewhere, as well as home grown thieves, this is what we can expected now. In the UK our Labour Government is sooooo dumb that they emply ILLEGAL immigrants as security guards. That is how dumb and incompetent the Labour Govt is.

Kia Fosdter

Kia Fosdter is Professor Emeritus of Common Sense at the University of Well It Stands To Reason Doesn’t It I Mean Are You Blind Or What. You can challenge her for tenure but unless you have a PhD in Only Saying What Everyone’s Thinking I wouldn’t rate your chances.

And Merry fucking Christmas all over again. ‘Tis the season to be a mildly retarded dipshit, so get over to HYS and fill your fucking boots.

I’m off on me hols for a week or two now, but does anyone else think that Kia Fosdter has a typo in her surname?

  2. on 24 Dec 2009 at 11:06 am Theodore

Phil, London does have a point. With the price for scrap iron being as high as it is (up to £120 a ton) and the sign weighing in at 45 kilos, they could have been almost £6 had their scheme paid off.

    Twat.

  3. on 24 Dec 2009 at 11:08 am still can't decide on a name

I’m looking at that pan- lingually incongruous d in Fosdter and am wondering if Kia’s finger has slipped onto the d or whether adding the d is a deliberate newswank web identity.

I tried to trawl through to answer my own question but lacked the stomach for so much anti- semitism.

Hence I’m forced to conclude that Kia is yet another brain dead cunt who can’t even spell their own name.

as well as home grown thieves

Ahhh, in my day there were nothing but home grown thieves, till bloody Labour started to import cheaper versions from furrin countries. One would always receive a doff of the cap and a “how d’ya do” before they made off with your giro … alas, no more. It is political correctness gone mad.

I like how she thinks the government are responsible for the possibly feckless employment policies of security firms too.

Love the fact that she slags off the government for being “sooo dumb” and then misspells employs in the very next sentence!

Ah, I think you’re wrong their Welsh; I think that she is using a clever phonetic device – based on her RP accent – claiming that the government are “implying” that these illegal immigrants are here for security purposes.

The real conspiracy is: for whose protection.? I tells ya, you don’t know how far up this government thing goes, right up to Gordon Brown!

cockgobbler! I meant, “… wrong thereWelsh…”. I’ve clearly just gone and ruined Christmas.

Ah, it’s all too uncommon to see the good old present future past pluperfect conditional tense in use.

How is this different to people removing metal plaques from war memorials or lead off church roofs?

It would actually be quite impressive if someone took a plaque from the Cenotaph in Whitehall or nicked all the lead off the roof of the Vatican.

I like how half the responses go “I’ve been there!” with the subtext “I really understand what it means and am entitled to be more offended than you.”

At least Rebecca Bradbury of Exeter has a handle on the cheeky scamps.

I believe the taking of the sign is more likely to be a bit of fun,…

One day the Jews will look back on this and laugh. Yeah?

I believe the taking of the sign is more likely to be a bit of fun,…

Does she mean like setting fire to vagrants fun or setting off a car-bomb in a market kind of fun?

I wish HYS contributors would make their points with a bit more clarity.

I am sure Professor Fosdter would be among the first to express disgust that immigrants get to laze around in their comfy detention centres and would suggest they be put to work in some way. She might even cite historical precedent for such schemes and urge a more balanced view of the hitherto disparaged group that devised them.

However, she loses marks for failing to mention that security guard jobs would be ideal for ex-servicemen, making it even more shameful that they have been reserved for illegal immigrants.

Does she mean like setting fire to vagrants fun or setting off a car-bomb in a market kind of fun?

    The full sentence is:

I believe the taking of the sign is more likely to be a bit of fun, an opportunity for someone to get their hands on a piece of history and get one over on those charged to protect the site.

I think that could fall into either of your categories. Like setting fire to Charlie Chaplin or setting off a car-bomb at a medieval re-enactment fayre.

Kia failed to add that seal of authenticity “you couldn’t make it up”. This is because somebody else made it up first, and when telling her about it, said “you couldn’t make it up”. They were right, too – she was so unimaginative that she didn’t even question it.

Rod Wrongnob, I thank you. We usually try not to actually argue with the HYS posters in our posts, because that would be not funny and even more pointless than the posts we do make. But I really wanted a rant about this point and you’ve given me the opportunity. So thank you again.

How is this different to people removing metal plaques from war memorials

Yes, because desecrating War Memorials doesn’t cause hysterical national outcry, calls for blood and vilification of the perpetrator or anything. But this isn’t a war memorial to British People so why should we get all worked up about it?

    or lead off church roofs?

Because to get lead off your average church roof you don’t have to run the gauntlet of two guards and four security cameras and the resulting metal has a scrap value greater than about ten quid. Anyone might think the cost/benefit ratio was way out of whack on this one. If they were the kind of people who included “thinking” in their daily repertoire, unlike Phil, London.

  16. on 24 Dec 2009 at 1:33 pm tw@basket.com

I read somewhere that the sign was made of bronze and hence rather more valuable as scrap than we are giving it credit for here.

Of course, even then, it is only “worth” melting down for scrap in the same sense that, say, the Mask of Tutankhamun would be “worth” melting down for scrap, i.e. the metal is worth a few quid and all you would have to do is betray history and decency to get your hands on the cash.

Actually, I find all this more depressing than if it really was the work of some elite neo-Nazi snatch squad…

  17. on 24 Dec 2009 at 2:52 pm I shouldn't laugh, really

… the work of some elite neo-Nazi snatch squad…

You mean some fascist cunts? Geddit? :-)

all the immigrants being let into Europe from elsewhere

That’s as opposed to all the immigrants being let into Europe from Europe?

Yes, I am feeling particularly pedantic and non-festive today, thank you for asking.

Indeed it does, and those people are also silly and wrong.

What I find more frustrating is that she stops so tantalisingly short of accusing Eastern European immigrants of the theft. You just can’t trust those bloody Poles, you know.

am i mis-reading her post, or does kia fsdtoster really think that Auschwitz is in the uk?

I think Kia Ora is just a bit confused about the general concepts of this country and other countries. Of course Auschwitz is in England. Everything is in England. All that ever happened outside of England is someone built a couple of big factories just over the border to make all the immigrants.

One day the Jews will look back on this and laugh. Yeah?

I doubt it. If there’s ever been a group famed for their humourless disposition and po-faced attitude to their own history, it’s the Jews.

What is it about YouTube that attracts such utter retards in the comments section?

Fuck you SYB, you ate my post.

It was long and didn’t make much sense but it involved Peter Tachelle and the Nazis killing homosexuals at Auschwitz….

    Damn it!
